Job Details: Our client in Kinmount, Ontario is looking for additional full-time Family Physicians to join their team. This is a thriving clinic located in Ontario’s beautiful cottage country. Hours are flexible with 40 hours per week to qualify for the Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRRI) which is $88,000 paid over 4 years. Payment structure is fee-for-service (Comprehensive Care Model - CCM Model). Offices and examination rooms are fully equipped and Telus Practice Solutions EMR is used. Overhead split is typically a competitive 80/20, and the range of potential annual earnings depending on patients seen is $275,000-$350,000. 

Recently hired a UK Physician who is happy to provide the incoming colleague advice and share his experience in relocating and working in Kinmount. 

General Practitioners and Family Physicians perform the following duties dependent on qualifications and interest:
•    Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
•    Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
•    Perform and assist in routine surgery
•    Provide emergency care
•    Provide acute care management
•    Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
•    Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care
•    Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention
•    Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
•    Perform patient advocacy role
•    Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
•    Provide continuous care to patients
•    Supervise home care services
•    Report births, deaths, and contagious and other diseases to governmental authorities.

Work Setting
•    A fully-equipped facility in Kinmount 
•    A modern, fully equipped procedure room is available onsite for use by medical staff for minor surgical procedures (e.g. excision of skin lesions), diagnostic purposes, musculoskeletal joint and soft tissue injections, and coil and implant insertions
•    Low overhead costs are shared by physicians; the overhead split is typically 20% to cover all physician commitments.

Requirements: 
•       Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA
•       Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC)
•       Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
