The incoming physician will be responsible for providing full primary care services to patients. The clinic has an extensive waiting list, allowing the physician the opportunity to build their own patient panel. There is an opportunity for inpatient care and Long-Term care. Acute care based on rotation schedule is optional. Long-Term care facility in town is close to clinic if physician would like some Long-Term care. Hours of work are Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm.  The clinic uses MedAccess EMR and offers billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-service, split arrangement is 70/30, (excluded overheads include business practice cost and billings generated from hospital or long-term care billings). The range of potential full-time annual earnings is $350,000-$450,000.   Clinic Details: The clinic is open Monday- Friday from 8:30am-5pm (closed for lunch 12-1pm). There are 2 larger size exam rooms, fully equipped including cautery and liquid nitrogen, where commonly conducted minor procedures, including excisions, IUD insertions are carried out with an option for cosmetic laser treatment as well. The clinic uses single use sterile equipment with no need for onsite sterilization.  The incoming physician will be well supported with a front desk, office manager and on-floor medical office assistants to provide daily support. A nurse practitioner is available twice a week through the primary care network. There are 4 family physicians currently working at the clinic.  The clinic is located close to the hospital, Long-Term care facility and schools. There is also a dental clinic, pharmacy, physical therapies clinic and a visiting audiologist at the same location. Strathmore is a growing town, less than an hour's drive from Calgary with a current population of 15,000.  Requirements:  •  Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA  •  Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)  •  Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
