Physician fatigue is not new. Nor will it likely be completely eliminated. But one thing that is important to recognize is that there are tools that can offer practical skills early on in a physician's career that can mitigate stress and offer the much needed support.

The development of the Resident Doctors of Canada Resiliency curriculum is an excellent example. By providing resident physicians with practical management tools and creating an environment that seeks to understand and therefore be able to address stressors is key.
